Punjab govt transfers 6 senior officers

In an administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government today transferred six senior officers with the immediate effect.

With the transfers, the government had appointed new Senior Superintendent of Police of five districts - Khanna, Moga, Fazilka, Batala and Ferozepur, an official spokesman said here.

SSP Khanna IPS S Bhoopathi has been shifted as Commandant first Indian Reserve Battalion, he said.

While SSP Moga Surjit Singh Grewal was shifted as SSP Fazilka, Commandant 5th Commando Battalion, Bahadurgarh Kamaljit Singh Dhillon has replaced him, the official said.

Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Crime Surinderjit Singh Mand has been transferred as SSP Batala and Commandant 2nd Commando Battalion, Bahadugarh Sushil Kumar was made SSP Khanna.
 

State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) in-charge Manminder Singh Amritsar has been transferred and posted as SSP Ferozepur in place of Varinderpal Singh who goes as Commandant, 2nd Commando Battalion, Bhadurgarh.
