Punjab & Haryana HC, Bombay HC get 1 Additional Judge each

One Additional Judge each was today appointed to the Punjab and Haryana High Court and the Bombay High Court.

A Law Ministry statement said here that Navita Singh has been appointed as an Additional Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court for a period of two years.

Similarly, Vijay Lakhichand Achliya has been appointed as an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court for two years.

With the fresh appointments, the strength of the judges of the Bombay High Court has gone up to 59 with 16 more vacancies to be filled.

The strength of judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court has increased to 48 with 20 position of judges still vacant.
