In Haryana, Ambala and Rohtak had a maximum of 35.7 deg C and 36.6 deg C, up by three notches each above normal.
Among other places, Hisar, Bhiwani and Narnaul had a high of 37.2 deg C, 35.6 deg C and 35.2 deg C respectively.
In Punjab, Amristar and Patiala recorded mercury at 36.8 deg C and 36 deg C while Ludhiana at 33.9 deg C.
Met in its forecast said light to moderate rain may occur at few places in Punjab and Haryana.
