Punjab Minister makes surprise check of schools

Minister Sikander Singh Maluka had a series of meetings with the District Education Authority and instructed them to strictly ensure the attendance of teachers besides cleanliness in the schools.

During the checking, the Minister monitored the attendance of the teachers and cleanliness in the school premises.

The schools inspected included Salabatpura (Bathinda) Government High School Cheema-Jodhpur and Senior Secondary School, Dhanola (Barnala), Senior Secondary School Phaguwala (Sangrur) and Government High School Ladran (Ajitgarh), an official spokesman said here.

During checking of Government High School, Landran (Ajitgarh) various shortcomings were found by the Education Minister. The head of the school was absent along with teachers from the classroom, the spokesman said.

 

Besides, the attendance register was not properly maintained. The Minister directed the concerned authority to take strict action in this regard.

Maluka also enquired about the problems and grievances of the teachers.
