A Punjab minister today rejected Opposition Congress's charge of a financial crisis in the state, saying that all development projects were moving forward under the SAD-BJP coalition government.

"These are baseless allegations levelled by Congress... Development projects are on in full swing in the state," said Public Works Department Minister, Sharanjit Singh Dhillon.

The SAD leader said that the state government would begin work on upgrading 450km length of link roads in Fatehgarh Sahib district within 20 days.

"Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has given his approval for the Chandigarh-Patiala bypass project and work on the Rs 20 crore project would commence from next month," he said at the inauguration of a Rs 16.77-crore project to improve power supply.
