Voting concluded peacefully amid tight security in the two booths of ward number 3, where two presiding officers were also allegedly manhandled during the elections on June 10 and fake votes were cast, officials said.
Candidate of the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal had lodged a complaint alleging attempt to "hack" the EVMs by using advanced computing technologies.
The Election Commission, although ruling out any such possibility, had allowed the district administration to conduct the elections again.
The results for these polls, however, will be declared after a final decision by the EC regarding complaints of EVM tampering, they said.
