PCB member secretary Babu Ram told reporters that nine units were found violating the guidelines meant for treatment and disposal of effluents.
He said such drives would be carried out regularly and strict action taken against the violators.
The Board has already ordered closure of some 24 units last month when they were found discharging untreated effluent directly into sewer.
