Punjab reserves 1 pc seats in varsities for Kashmiri migrants

Punjab government today said it has reserved one per cent seat for Kashmiri migrant students in various courses of universities and technical institutions from the current session.

The state government, after considering the guidelines issued by All India Council for Technical Education and Ministry of Human Resources development, has reserved the seats for Kashmiri migrant students, a spokesman of the Punjab government said.

The government reserved one per cent seat in engineering, MBA, MCA, M-Pharma, B-Pharma, hotel management and catering technology in universities, engineering colleges and polytechnic colleges of the state for admission from the academic session 2013-2014, he said.
