The Punjab government today said it has decided to relaunch the Voluntary Disclosure Scheme (VDS) for regularisation of unauthorised water supply and sewerage connections in the urban areas of the state.
"The scheme was stopped some time ago and we have decided to relaunch it again and it will continue till July 31," Local Bodies Minister Anil Joshi said.
He said several people have availed the scheme and got their connections regularised.
The minister urged urban local bodies to create awareness among the people about the scheme.
