"Government will take serious action against institutes commercialising the education system. Institutes which admit students and charge heavy fees but do not provide placements are also under the scrutiny of the state government", Technical Education Minister Anil Joshi said here today.
The government will also ensure that these institutes possess proper infrastructure required to offer quality education, Joshi said.
"We will check whether these institutes have proper laboratory and other necessary equipment to educate students," he said.
To ensure that students passing out of the institutes are placed properly, the government would soon start a placement audit in the colleges along with academic audit, he added.
Joshi, who is also Industry Minister of the state, said the government would create a land bank to push the industrial pace in the state.
"Directions have been issued to the concerned officers to identify land which can be given to the industry at reasonable rates. They will soon submit report in this regard", he said.
