Two persons were killed allegedly when the bike they were travelling on was knocked down by an unidentified vehicle on Phillaur-Nawanshahr road here, police said today.
The incident the occurred yesterday near village Bassian Dhak when the duo was returning to their village and were hit by a vehicle, leaving them dead, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Jasbir Singh and Harbans Lal of village Raipur Arayian, they added.
Police said that while the duo died on the spot, the unidentified accused sped away with the vehicle. A case has been registered in the matter and probe was underway, they added.
