Pvt medical colleges in Hry to sign Rs 10 crore bond

Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij today said that private medical colleges and private unaided medical institutions will sign a bond of Rs 10 crore so that they do not close down in-between.

He also said that the state government had decided to fix the fee limits for several courses provided by these private institutions.

"The private medical colleges and private unaided medical institutions will sign a bond of Rs 10 crore so that they do not close down in-between like Goldfield Medical College, Faridabad and leave future of medical students in the dark," Vij said.

He said that the matter of acquiring of Goldfield Medical College, which was closed down due to non-grant of recognition, is under consideration with the Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar and a decision would be taken soon.
 

The minister also said that the fee limit has been fixed for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS and other courses in private medical colleges and private unaided medical institutions.

This would bring uniformity in fee structure and would end financial exploitation of students, he said in an official release here.

Vij said that the chief minister has given his approval regarding fee fixation.
