Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) today urged upon the government to build necessary infrastructure and provide youth with employment.

"The phase of militancy is now over, but still there is a huge population of unemployment youth in the state. We urge the government to build necessary infrastructure and provide them with employment," JKPYC vice president Pranav Shagotra told reporters here.

"Our youth have to go to other states for employment, why can't the government create infrastructure here so that our qualified and educated youth don't have to move out in search of jobs?" he asked.

Expressing concern over the problems faced by those living in custodian properties in the state, Shagotra urged upon the government to grant them ownership rights without delay.

"The government should grant ownership rights to the allottees living there for the past 65 years, without further delay. Until the ownership rights are granted, full lease rights should be given to them with immediate effect," he demanded.
