Former Awami League leader Qader Siddiqui of Bangladesh today called on President Pranab Mukherjee here.
The meeting between Mukherjee and Siddiqui, who arrived here yesterday, was described as a "private" event by Rashtrapati Bhavan sources.
The meeting took place at a time when Bangladesh is in political turmoil over the nature of interim government which would preside over coming parliamentary elections.
