The national integration week will be observed from tomorrow across the country with a motive to foster the spirit of communal harmony and integrity amongst citizens.
"The National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH), an autonomous organization with the Ministry of Home Affairs, also organizes communal harmony campaign coinciding with the Qaumi Ekta Week. The foundation also provides financial assistance for relief and rehabilitation of children rendered orphan or destitute in communal, caste, ethnic or terrorist violence," a statement from the Home ministry said.
"The week-long programmes to be observed during Quami Ekta Week (November 19-25th) include national integration day (November 19), welfare of minorities day (November 20), linguistic harmony day (November 21), weaker sections day (November 22), cultural unity day (November 23), women's day (November 24) and conservation day (November 25), the statement said.
