Top seed Parikshit Somani also advanced to the quarter finals.
Yeswanth Loganathan beat his state-mate Deepak Senthil Kumar 0-6, 7-6(6), 6-4 while Somani outplayed Amit Beniwal of New Delhi 6-4, 6-2.
