"Before the trailer launch we were trending here. This is a part of history but it is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's fictional story of Bajirao and Mastani. It would be exciting to see how international audience reacts."
Priyanka thinks its good that people across the world are opening up to Indian cinema but feels there is a need to educate them on our cinema.
"The globe is opening up to Indian cinema. There is a stereotype that Hindi films break into song and dance without reason. We come from one of the most prolific film industries of the world.
"It is about educating the world that this is what Hindi film industry is like... We may have different languages but we are a force to reckon with. The success of 'Quantico' shows the power of Indian films as the show simultaneously opened in several countries. Films like 'Bajirao Mastani' is a quick testimony of what Indian cinema is like."
According to the 'Fashion' star, there was not much challenge for her while doing "Bajirao Mastani" except wearing the traditional Navhari (nine-yard saree).
In this period love story, Ranveer Singh will be seen as Bajirao while Priyanka plays his first wife Kashibai and Deepika Padukone plays Mastani.
"I did not had much difficult things to do. I just had to
come to sets, wear my Navhari... Jewelry etc. I did my best.
"I was experiencing the magic of another time I used to walk on sets and feel like I am on some fairy land. I had a blast doing it. Deepika and Ranveer had all the challenges to do."
Priyanka is currently shooting for "Quantico" a television show in which she plays lead character Alex Parrish half American half Indian, who becomes FBI's prime suspect.
Ask her if she feels the hangover of the show, Priyanka says, "You questioned my ability to do my job. Over the years I have learnt how to switch in different characters. I had to learn accent ....I have confused accent. For me, its not difficult to get in and out of character.
