Actor Queen Latifah has joined the cast of the drama film "Hope's Wish".
The film will be helmed by Laurie Collyer, who had earlier directed the Maggie Gyllenhaal-starrer "Sherrybaby", reported Deadline.
The film is an official adaptation of "Hope's Wish: How One Girl's Dream Made Others Come True" by Stuart and Shelby Stout. "Brokeback Mountain" scribe Diana Ossana has penned the script of the film.

It tells the true story of Hope Stout, a 12-year-old girl who, when diagnosed with a life-threatening disease, set out on a mission to fund the wishes of all the other health-challenged children in her part of North Carolina.
Latifah will play Make-A-Wish Foundation executive Toni Dubois, who worked with Stout to help raise the money.
The film will be produced by Walden Media along with Steven P Wegner and Val Hill and Yale Badik. Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson will serve as the executive producers.
