Quiz competition held

The annual Inter-school Navy Quiz

competition was conducted by Southern Naval Command today at Sagarika Auditorium, Naval Base, here.

Vice Admiral A R Karve, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command who was the chief guest gave away the Rolling Trophy to the winners in addition to cash awards and merit certificates.

Navy Children School (NCS), Kochi represented by Master Pratyush Padmanabhan and Master Vishwanath Kannan was adjudged the champions and bagged the rolling trophy, while Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara represented by Master Anand Rajagopal and Master Sidharth R was declared runners-up.

Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Eroor represented by Master Paul Philip and Master Dev Raj was awarded the third prize.
 

The quiz was fiercely contested over six categories comprising Panorama, jig saw, abbreviations, Audio Visual, Choose your Domain, and Rapid Fire Rounds.

A total of 14 schools participated the competition out of which six teams qualified for the finals.

The Inter-School Navy quiz competition is being conducted since 2006.

The event was co-ordinated by Naval Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service (NAQAS) and supported by the Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI), Kochi Branch.
