R N Dhoke takes charge as ADGP, New Delhi

The Punjab police on Wednesday ordered posting of senior IPS officer R N Dhoke as additional director general of police, coordination, in New Delhi.

As per an official release, the decision was taken to "ensure better coordination between Punjab police and the Ministry of Home Affairs, other central police organisations and departments."

Dhoke currently holds the post of additional director general of police, security, in Chandigarh.

The order was issued by Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Home Affairs and Justice, Punjab, Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi, the release said.

Meanwhile, the state government transferred one IAS and eight PCS officers with immediate effect.

An official spokesman said IAS officer Jaspal Singh Gill was posted as additional deputy commissioner, Khanna.

 

Among the PCS officers, Ajay Kumar Sood has been posted as additional deputy commissioner, (general) Moga, while Jagwinder Jit Singh Grewal has been posted as deputy secretary, tourism and cultural affairs and Amarbir Singh has been given the posting of secretary, Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board.
