State department of mines, Rajasthan has signed a tripartite agreement with Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited and National Mineral Exploration Limited for evaluating seven blocks of copper and gold reserves in Udaipur.
The agreement also involves exploring possibilities of two blocks of base metal and silver in Bhilwara and one block of iron ore in Jhunjhunu district.
Following exploration, mines will be auctioned.
The agreement was signed by state director of mines and geology, D S Maru, general manager of MECL, Yogeshan Sharma and deputy director general of NMET, M Koshy John in presence of principal secretary (mines) of state government Aparna Arora.
