Rajasthan government has signed today an MoU worth Rs 1.20 crore with Cairn India for second phase of water conservation project in Barmer, under Jal Swavlamban Yojna.
The company will do 56 water conservation works in Barmer, said additional chief secretary, Rural Development Department, Sudarshan Sethi.
In the tripartite agreement, ground water conservation department commissioner Anurag Bharadwaj, Business developer of Cairn India Manoj Agarwal and Barmer district collector Sudhir Sharma signed the documents.
In the first phase of the Jal Swavlamban Yojna, Rs 55 crore were recieved from industrialists, social and religious organisations with which Cairns India had done works worth Rs 65 Lakh.
