Radio, TV didn't encourage Indipop: Lesle Lewis

The musician duo formed Colonial Cousins in 1992 and under the band they churned out many Indo-Western albums including 'The Way We Do It', 'Aatma' and many more.

"People should respect every genre of music. They should listen what they like. But every genre of music has it's own identity and we should not tamper with them," Lewis told PTI Bhasha.

Lewis is currently working with MTVs Coke Studio as a singer and mentor and said this TV series has given folk and fusion music their due credit.

The 51-year-old has recently launched his new album 'Colonial Cousins Once More' with Hariharan.

 

"It was a nice experience. I enjoyed working with Hariharan," he added.
