Two new Kendriya Vidyalayas will be set up in Rae Bareli, Congress President Sonia Gandhi's Lok Sabha constituency, and Takenpur in Madhya Pradesh.
Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar announced this during an informal interaction with mediapersons today.
According to HRD Ministry officials, these two schools were among 54 sanctioned in 2014.

"Two new KVs -- one in Rail Coach Factory, Rae Bareli and another in BSF academy in Takenpur will come up soon. In Pilibhit, holding of classes of Class XI in adjusted timings has been allowed," a senior HRD official said.
When pointed out that Rae Bareli is the Congress President's parliamentary constituency, the official said the present government believes in 'sabka saath, sabka vikas'.
On the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to MBBS course, HRD Ministry officials said some candidates have raised the issue of having to pay the fee again for a second time during NEET II even though they have already appeared in NEET I.
"Those who have not submitted fee for NEET II, even if they have filled the form, their score for NEET I will be considered," an official said.
The officials said that in case a candidate appeared in NEET I and applied for NEET II successfully but could not appear for the exam, such cases will be placed before the oversight committee.
The officials said Javadekar will visit IIT-Delhi tomorrow in what would be his first visit as HRD Minister to a higher education institute.
