Leather products manufacturer Farida Group Managing Director M Rafeeque Ahmed was today unanimously elected as Chairman of the Council for Leather Exports for a two year period.
Subash Kapoor was elected as Vice-Chairman at the 30th Annual General Meeting of CLE here, a press release said.
P R Aqeel Ahmed was elected Regional Chairman (South), Puran Dawar (North), Ramesh Kumar Juneja (East), Naresh S Bhasin (West) and Mohamed Iftekhar (Central), it said.
Ministry of Commerce and Industry has notified Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Dharshan Singh, as the Election Authority for the selection of the new members, the release said.
