Air Chief Marshal Anup Raha, Chief of Air Staff, Indian Air Force (IAF) today visited the Air Force Station at Sulur near here and took stock of the preparedness of the station.
In his address to all personnel of the Station, Raha said IAF was going through a transformation phase, where it was acquiring new air craft and systems, which required high degree professionalism to operate and maintain.
However, he stressed upon the retention of vintage systems and to be self-sufficient as far as their maintenance was concerned, an official communique from the Station, said.
Raha also emphasised the importance of continuous training at all levels to operate and maintain the highly sophisticated modern equipment, it said.
