Over 30,000 people on Wednesday evening thronged the Barabati Stadium here to witness the second leg of the inaugural function of the World Cup Men's Hockey tournament.
Renowned music composer A R Rahman, who had performed at the inaugural ceremony at Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, enthralled the crowd with his signature tunes.
Bollywood star Salman Khan also took to the stage and spoke in Odia, much to the delight of the spectators.
Khan added it was his first visit to the "beautiful" Odisha.
Rahman was accompanied by nearly 100 technical staff, who performed for about an hour on a massive stage fitted with a LED screen, which also beamed the live telecast of India's opening encounter against South Africa.
