As part of restructuring the Congress, an Advisory Council of senior leaders is being thought of by party Vice President Rahul Gandhi to address issues of public policy.
An indication to this effect was given by K Raju, chairman of the AICC SC department and an associate of Gandhi.
He said that if formed, such a Council could mainly consist of members of the Congress Working Committee.

After the debacle in the Assembly polls in four states, many leaders have underlined the need for the Congress to set its house in order.
There have been no changes in the party after the last Lok Sabha elections in May 2014 which saw the party's worst ever performance by securing just 44 seats in a House of 543.
There has been no word so far when a meeting of the Congress Working Committee is being held. Talk of a 'Chintan Shivir' being held soon is also being heard.
