As part of preparations for Lok Sabha polls, Rahul Gandhi today interacted with members of the Congress Working Committee on the strategy ahead and the issues to be stressed.

Gandhi's interaction came at a time when the AICC is in the midst of formulating a manifesto through an elaborate exercise to get the maximum possible feedback and suggestions to make it a document that will click with the masses.

After a two-hour long meeting, party General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi told reporters that Gandhi sought suggestions from the party leaders over the manifesto and other politically relevant issues.

"The Manifesto Committee, headed by A K Antony, will consider these suggestions", he said adding the Congress Vice President wanted to know from the party leaders what outlook and ideas the party should adopt.

The meeting came a day after Gandhi held a meeting with young party leaders to draw the contours of the 2014 election manifesto.

Gandhi had stressed on aggressively propagating the achievements of the UPA government among people.

Party sources said Gandhi is likely to hold interaction with farmers at a meeting near Sonipat in Haryana on Sunday as part of the party's exercise to get direct feedback from various stakeholders in the manfiesto-making exercise.
