Congress president Rahul Gandhi will take part in a national convention on health organised by an NGO here on Friday, a party leader said.
Gandhi will take part in the concluding session of the two-day convention on 'Health for All' at a hotel here at 10 am, a partys state spokesperson here said.
The programme, which began on Thursday, has been organised by Mayaram Surjan Foundation, Raipur.
"Gandhi will deliver a speech on 'universal healthcare at the national level' on the occasion," he added.
AICC Chhattisgarh in-charge P L Punia, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, state Health Minister T S Singhdeo and other speakers will also speak on the occasion.
This is Gandhi's first visit to the state following the announcement of upcoming Lok Sabha election schedule.
In its poll manifesto for the 2018 state assembly elections, the Congress had promised to launch universal healthcare scheme in the state.
