Rahul Gandhi to visit rain-hit areas of Puducherry, TN's Cuddalore

The Congress vice president would fly back to Delhi from Puducherry airport tomorrow after wrapping up his visit

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will tomorrow visit the rain-hit areas of the Union Territory of Puducherry and Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu.

After arriving at Puducherry airport, Gandhi will visit Rodierpet, Riyankuppam, Krimambakkam and a few other areas here and distribute relief materials to the affected people, PCC president and MLA A Namassivayam said in a release here.

Namassivayam said that Gandhi will also visit the adjoining Cuddalore district in Tamil Nadu and see for himself the extent of the havoc wreaked there by the torrential north- east monsoon rainfall.

The Congress vice president would fly back to Delhi from Puducherry airport tomorrow after wrapping up his visit, the release added.
