Terming the rail budget as the "first rail budget dedicated to infrastructure", the ruling BJP in Rajasthan today said it was focused on facilities of people even as the opposition Congress described it as a "hollow budget with no vision".
"Security of women passengers, ease in ticket availability, safety and other facilities of passengers were focused in the budget," BJP state president Ashok Parnami said.
He said the Railway Minister has focused on completing announcements which were made earlier.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee president Sachin Pilot said the rail budget was disappointing with hollow announcement.
Pilot claimed that the hike in freight will push inflation.
"Despite decline in crude prices in international market, the government gave no relief in fairs rather increased freight which will increase inflation. There is nothing new in the budget," he said in a statement.
"No announcement of new trains in the visionless rail budget shows incapability of 25 BJP MPs from the state," he said.
The state CPI (M) also dubbed the rail budget as disappointing, saying it would promote privatisation.
"Making no announcement for new train reflects the commitment of the Modi government towards the Aam Aadmi," the party state committee member Ravindra Shukla commented.
