Rail safety committee to probe flyover collapse

The collapse of a portion of a flyover on a goods train in Muzaffarpur town would be inquired into by the Railways tomorrow.

The inquiry into yesterday's collapse of the flyover by Rail Safety Commissioner South-East zone Kolkata S Nayak will be held tomorrow and on November 30, Chief Public Relation Officer, East Central Railway Amitabh Prabhakar said in a release here.

The middle portion of the about 100 metre 40-year-old Baripur rail bridge had caved in and fallen on a goods train yesterday afternoon damaging two wagons and injuring ten persons.
