A three-year-old missing girl, who was found roaming lonely at the station here, was today reunited with her family in Punjab, railway police said.
"On April 30, our men found a three-year-old girl roaming lonely at the Jammu railway station. The child was handed over to the child line authorities who took good care of her,"SP Railway Jammu Suram Singh said today.
As the child was not in a condition to give any details about her family, the railway police started efforts to trace her family.

"Efforts were made to trace the whereabouts of parents of the girl through print media, social media, whatsApp, telephonic communications and other sources," Singh said.
The photograph of the child along with details was sent to Patiala and Ambala through Whatsapp.
"Because of this police station City Barnala established contact with the SHO GRP Jammu and informed that one missing report of the child stands lodged in their police station" Singh said.
A special team of Barnala City Police reached police station GRP Jammu.
"The police steam was accompanied by Harish Kumar of Jhande Walas Road Barnala Punjab. In charge child line was informed of the same who brought the girl to the police station," he said.
The facts were verified by the GRP Jammu."It surfaced that Harish Kumar was the actual guardian of the said girl whose name was Chanchal" he said.
The child was later handed over to her father Kumar who thanked the Railway police Jammu for saving the life of their daughter and facilitating their reunion.
