Rain brings relief from scorching heat

"Delhi witnessed 2.1 mm of rain this morning which brought down the temperature. The maximum temperature was recorded at 37.2 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees below normal," a MeT department official said.

The minimum was recorded at 28.2 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year, the official said.

It was a pleasent day for Delhiites who had been reeling under heat wave conditions for the last few days.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature settled at 43.6 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal while the minimum was 32.7 degrees Celsius, five degrees above normal.

MeT department has predicted a partly cloudy sky with thudershowers in some areas tomorrow.

 

The maximum temperature tomorrow is likely to be around 41 degrees Celsius and the minimum 32 degrees C.
