Rain drops temperature in Bihar

Light to moderate rains at a few places led to a drop in the temperature in major cities of Bihar today.

Patna recorded 2.2 mm, Bhagalpur 30.6 mm and Purnea 59.8 mm rainfall, met office bulletin said.

Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius, compared to 37 degrees celsius yesterday, it said.

The fall in mercury was witnessed elsewhere too. The temple town of Gaya recorded 33 degrees Celsius, while it was 29 degree celsius in Bhagalpur and 29.6 deg cel in Purnea.

The state weather office forecast generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundeshower in Patna, Gaya and Bhagalpur.
 

It, however, warned of heavy rain at one or two places over West Champaran, North-central, North-east and South-east Bihar during the next 24 hours.
