Light to moderate rains occured in eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh, MeT department said today.
Isolated places in eastern UP received light to moderate rains or thundershowers in the past 24 hours.
The chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms are 1 each in Ghazipur, Mohammadabad and Zamania and 2 in Churk.
It said the day temperature fell in Varanasi and Allahabad divisions and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state.
It was appreciably below normal in the Gorakhpur division and normal in the remaining divisions of the state.
Night temperatures rose markedly in Faizabad and Allahabad divisions, appreciably in Gorakhpur and Varanasi divisions, rose in Kanpur, Lucknow and Jhansi divisions and changed little in the remaining dsivisions of the state.
Highest maximum temperature was 35.6 degree Celsius recorded at Banda, whereas lowest minimum temperature was 15.3 degree Celsius at Muzaffarnagar, it said.
The department predicted rain or thundershowers for most places over east UP tomorrow and at a few places over western parts of the state.
