Rain interrupts second day's play

Rain stopped play on the second day of the first cricket Test match between India and Australia at Adelaide Oval here today.

Resuming on 354 for six, Australia reached 405 for six on the morning of day two before heavy showers interrupted proceedings with just about half an hour to go for lunch.

Steven Smith was batting on 98, while skipper Michael Clarke was on 85.
