Rains today lashed most parts of Punjab and Haryana with Mohali receiving the highest rainfall at 37 mm.
Chandigarh received 18.3 mm of rainfall, a MeT Department official said here.
In Punjab, Fatehgarh Sahib, Gurdaspur, Patiala, Ropar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Nawanshehar and Hoshiarpur received 27.7, 11, 23.6, 33.8, 3.5, 1.3, 7.4 and 3 mm of rainfall respectively, he said.

In Haryana, Ambala recorded 39.7 mm of rainfall, while Bhiwani, Gurgaon and Hisar received 2.2, 0.8 and 0.1 mm of rains respectively, the weatherman said.
Jhajjar, Jind, Kurukshetra, Karnal and Yamunanagar recorded 1.1 mm, 4 mm, 6.8 mm, 2.9 mm and 4.7 mm of rainfall respectively.
Several places in Chandigarh and Mohali witnessed power outage for several hours, causing inconvenience to people.
