It was an overcast morning in the city with the minimum settling at 30.7 degrees Celsius,
Overnight rainfall of 0.5 mm was recorded in Lodhi Road area and the MeT Department has forecast rain in parts of the city.
"The minimum temperature was recorded at 30.7 degrees Celsius, which was three notches above the season's average. The relative humidity level in the morning was 50 per cent," a MeT official said.
The maximum is likely to hover around 40 degrees Celsius later in the day.
The minimum recorded at other weather stations was -- Lodhi Road (29.2 degrees Celsius), Ayanagar (29.2), Palam (29.6) and Ridge (30.2).
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum had settled at 32.6 degrees Celsius.
