The meteorological department has predicted rain, snowfall in Himachal Pradesh over the next few days.
Snowfall, rain may occur at some places in the middle, high hills from Wednesday to Monday, whereas rain, thunderstorm may take place in several places in plains, low hills of the state from till Saturday, said Manmohan Singh, director of the Meteorological Centre, Shimla.
The weather department has issued the 'yellow' weather warning for Thursday and Friday only for heavy rain, snowfall in middle hills and thunderstorm in plains, low hills.
The Met issues colour-coded warnings to alert the public ahead of severe or hazardous weather, which has the potential to cause "damage, widespread disruption and/or danger to life." Yellow is the least dangerous among the weather warnings.
Meanwhile, the weather remained dry over the state in the last 24 hours. Minimum temperatures were 1-2 degrees Celsius above normal, whereas maximum temperatures were 3-4 degrees Celsius above normal, Singh added.
Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district continues to be the coldest place at minus 9.2 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, the Met office said.
The maximum temperature in the state was recorded in Una at 28.4 degrees Celsius.
