The sun remained hidden throughout the day in the state capital which received 10.1 mm of rain and saw the maximum dive to 16 degrees celsius from yesterday's 23.2 degrees C, the MeT office said.
Tehri received 11.6 mm of rains while areas located in the higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudrapur and Bageshwar districts received fresh snowfall, it said, predicting similar weather conditions in the state over the next few days.
Rain and snowfall at places and isolated hailstorm and squalls are likely to take place over the next 24 hours, the weatherman said.
