Stormy weather in Delhi on Thursday was symptomatic of the turbulence in the Congress and the AAP, which were staring at a wipeout in the city.
The BJP literally had the wind at its back, as the saffron party was galloping towards resounding victories in all the seven seats in Delhi.
As the results started trickling in, cloudy skies that enveloped the city for the major part of the day gave way to thunder, rain and duststorm, with winds gusting up to 70 kilometres per hour.
The mercury recorded a high of 40.4 degrees Celsius and a low of 26 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal. Humidity levels oscillated between 29 nd 71 per cent
The weather department said similar conditions are likely to prevail on Friday. Delhi is likely to witness light rain and thunderstorm with winds gusting up to 30 kmph, the Met office said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 38 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
