Overnight thunderstorms and incessant rain washed out the third day of the third cricket Test between West Indies and India here today.

Not a single ball could be bowled today as rain rendered the whole outfield soggy. Numerous muddy patches all along the boundary ropes deemed the field unfit for any play.

West Indies were trailing by 246 runs with 9 wickets remaining in the 1st innings after they reached 107 for one in 47 overs at the end of the second day.

Opener KC Brathwaite (53) and Darren Bravo (18) were at the crease at the draw of stumps.

India are leading the four-Test series 1-0 after winning the opening Test. The second Test ended in a draw after West Indies produced a remarkable fightback on the final day.
