Rainfall brings respite to Rajasthan

Several places in the state recorded rainfall in the last 24 hours, giving much respite to the people from the hot weather conditions in Rajasthan.

Beawar and Pisagan in Ajmer recorded 8 cm and 5 cm of rainfall respectively.

Raipur in Bhilwara recorded 6 cm, Bilara and Pali 5 cm each and Masuda 4 cm.

Various places in Bikaner, Udaipur and Barmer also received rainfall ranging from two to three cms.

Meanwhile, Barmer recorded its hottest today with maximum temperature of 40.6 degrees Celsius followed by 39.2 in Jaisalmer, 39 each in Kota and Churu, 38.5 in Sriganganagar, 37.4 in Dabok, 36.7 in Pilani, 36.5 in Jaipur, 36.4 in Bikaner and 36 degrees Celsius in Jodhpur respectively.
 

The MeT department has predicted rain and thunderstorm with rain likely to occur at isolated places in the state.

The department has warned about thunder storm accompanied with squall and hail in isolated places in the state during the next 24 hours.
