Rainfall in parts of Rajasthan's Jodhpur

Several places in Jodhpur division of Rajasthan recorded rainfall in the last 24 hours, giving much respite to the people from scorching heat in the state.

Barmer was hottest in the state with a high of 42.8 degrees Celsius followed by Jaisalmer which recorded a maximum temperature of 42.6 degrees today.

According to the MeT department here, Churu, Kota, Sriganganagar, Bikaner and Jaipur recorded maximum of 42. 2 degrees Celsius, 42.1, 41.1, 40.8 and 39.8 degree Celsius respectively.

Light rainfall with thunderstorm occurred at isolated areas in Jodhpur division which brought some relief from the blistering heat.

The weather conditions would remain the same during next 24 hours, the department said.
