Rains bring down mercury in Rajasthan

Several areas in Jaipur and Kota division received light to moderate rainfall while heavy rainfall occurred at isolated areas of the state.

Parts of Ajmer and Udaipur also received light rainfall while weather in Jodhpur and Bikaner division remained mainly dry till morning today since yesterday.

Todabhim and Atru each recorded 14 CM rainfall so far, Alwar received 13 CM, Shahbad and Kishangarh recorded 11 CM and other places also recorded rainfall between 1 and 8 CM rainfall.

Day temperatures have decreased in some parts of the state. However, Churu remained hottest in the state at 42.9 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature in other areas was registered between 34.6 degree Celsius and 42 degree Celsius.

 

The South-West Monsoon has advanced in some more parts of Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Udaipur and Bharatpur and would further advance during the next 24 hours.
