Rains bring down temperature in capital

The maximum temperature was recorded at 32.6 deg C, which is one degree below normal at this time of the season, while the minimum settled at 26 deg C.

The city recorded 2.8 mm of rainfall from 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM, the MeT office said.

The city has been receiving rains for the past few weeks, but there has been a hiatus in the last week. Rains returned to the capital on Sunday, but there were no rains yesterday.

The humidity was recorded between 63 and 87 per cent, the MeT office said.
