The rain gauges measured 2.1 mm till 8:30 AM, the MeT office said.
The minimum was recorded at 28.2 degree Celsius, normal for this time of the year and down from yesterday's 32.7 degree Celsius. Yesterday, the minimum was five degrees above normal.
MeT department has predicted a partly cloudy sky for tomorrow with maximum temperature likely to be around 43 degree Celsius and minimum 32 degree Celsius.
The city has been reeling under heatwave conditions for the last few days.
