Rains brought a welcome relief for citizens of Patna and other parts of Bihar today.
The state capital, which witnessed cloudy sky for majority part of the day, experienced rain in the afternoon which provided welcome relief to citizens from humid conditions.
Isolated rainfall occurred in other parts that included Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea, state Met office said.

Patna recorded 19 mm of rainfall, while Gaya 32 mm, Bhagalpur 22 mm and Purnea 34 mm till 5:30 pm.
Met office has predicted heavy rains for next three days across the state.
In its forecast for next 24 hours, Met department said that Patna was likely to witness generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.
Similarly, Gaya and Bhagalpur are also expected to witness generally cloudy sky with light rain while Purnea, which too is expected to have cloudy sky, may witness moderate rainfall tomorrow.
The rains brought down the maximum temperature which was hovering around 30 degree celsius in major towns of the state.
Patna recorded the maximum temperature of 32.0 degree celsius while Gaya and Bhagalpur registered identical 29.2 degree celsius.
Purnea registered maximum temperature of 28.8 degrees Celsius.
Patna recorded maximum humidity of 80 per cent in the morning while it was 83 per cent in the evening. Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea recorded more than 92 to 95 per cent of humidity both in the morning and evening.
